Oswaldo “Brujo” Escobedo and Tabbatha Hayes Escobedo reopened the La Porte City Boxing Gym (formerly Maple City Boxing) in February 2023, with the purpose of teaching not only the technical fundamentals of boxing but also the core values that make a great boxer:

Oswaldo “Brujo” Escobedo is a former professional boxer and current co-owner/operator of La Porte City Boxing. He has been boxing for over 25 years and has always dreamed of opening a gym. He dedicates his time and passion to foster the next generation of young fighters through fundamental teachings and mentorship.
Tabbatha Hayes Escobedo is a former professional boxer and current co-owner/operator of La Porte City Boxing. She is heavily involved in match-making for local, amateur, and regional boxing events, particularly in the La Porte, Indiana area.
